What does the baton training course cover?

The course includes instruction on:

• Moral and legal aspects of baton usage
• Appropriate use of force
• Baton familiarization and uses
• First aid for baton injuries
• Fundamentals of baton handling (including stances, grips, target areas, defensive techniques, control techniques, and arrest and control techniques)
• A final examination of the subject matter
